Edward Pulver
On August 1, 1981, Beth (Causie) and I
were married at the First United Methodist Church of Mason.
We have three children: Heather (25), Melissa (23), and
Nicholas (18).
Heather Marie Miller is married to
Thomas Miller. They live in a small village named Arizona
Farms, a small farming community where everyone knows who their
neighbor is. Heather works in a dialysis clinic and is
working on her nursing degree. Thomas works for a company
that drills holes for septic tanks and other applications.
They have a Dalmatian/mutt named Hydra.
Melissa Leigh Waite is married to
Matthew Waite. They used to live in Casa Grande but moved
in with Beth. Melissa is a substitute teacher at the same
school Beth works in. Matt works at Hexcell as a technical
inspector where they manufacture items such as honeycomb
material for shoes.
Nicholas Edward is in the Army at Fort
Knox. His MOS is 63A an Abrams Tank Mechanic. He
will complete AIT on or around December 7, 2007.
Beth is a second grade teacher in
Arizona City, AZ. The school is about a mile from our
house. We have two dogs, Sasha and Lady. We also
have a cat, Marie. As for my military career, it all
started in May 1983 in the Air Force. After 9 years of
active duty, I got out and went to the Tucson Air National
Guard. I was with the Air Guard for 7 months. Then
in February 1993 I joined the Arizona Army National Guard as an
AH-64A crew chief. Then on April 4, 2001 I was hired as an
Active Guard and Reserve (AGR).
In 2003, our unit was selected to be
the first National Guard unit to field the AH-64D Apache
Longbow. Then on May 1, 2006, our battalion deployed to
Fort Hood Texas to certify as an attack Battalion with the
AH-64D. On January 25, 2007, our battalion deployed to
Afghanistan. Our battalion has 24 AH-64D helicopters.
Our battalion is split up into 4 Forward Operating Bases (FOB's),
one company is Kandahar (6 aircraft), most of our battalion in
Salerno (8 aircraft), and our company has two FOB's to support
here in Afghanistan. My job is an AH-64D Apache Longbow
helicopter maintenance Platoon Sergeant. We have 6
helicopters in Bagram and 4 at Jalalabad. Jalalabad is on
the Afghanistan Pakistan border. We are scheduled to be
here until January 2008.
I found the Class of 80 website and was
amazed by how much stuff was on that website. The part I
liked the most was the 25 year class reunion photo section.
The other section that was an eye-opener is the classmates that
have passed away.
